5. Account Responsibilities
Household Account Structure:
ChorePulse is designed for families. A "Household" account consists of:
- One or more adult accounts (18+ years old) - Full access to all features including AI
- One or more child accounts (under 18) - Created and managed by adults, restricted features
- Shared family data - Tasks, schedules, rewards, and activity visible to authorized family members
As the account owner, you have full control over your household account, including all child accounts and family data.
Family Code and PIN Login:
Your household is assigned a unique Family Code that enables simplified login for family members:
- Family members (especially children and teens) can log in using the Family Code and a personal 4-digit PIN
- This allows easy access on shared devices, tablets, or personal devices without requiring email/password
- The Family Code should only be shared with authorized family members
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Family Code
- If you believe your Family Code has been compromised, contact support immediately
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA):
Adult accounts may enable two-factor authentication for additional security. When enabled, you will need both your password and a time-based one-time password (TOTP) from an authenticator app to sign in. We strongly recommend enabling 2FA for account owners who manage family data and billing.
Family Hub Display:
ChorePulse includes a Hub Display mode designed for shared family screens (e.g., tablets, smart displays, wall-mounted screens). When enabled, this display shows family tasks, schedules, leaderboards, weather, and calendar events visible to anyone viewing the screen. You are responsible for ensuring the Hub Display is placed in an appropriate location within your home and that displayed information is suitable for all viewers.
Account Owners Are Responsible For:
